In 1916, Sir Ernest Shackleton and a small crew sailed the James Caird—just 22-feet long—through 800 miles of open ocean and 66-foot waves to seek help for their stranded Antarctic expedition. Against staggering odds, they succeeded, ultimately bringing the entire team to safety.
We chose the name Caird to reflect that same spirit: navigating complexity, adapting under pressure, and finding a way forward, together.

WHO WE ARE
An SEC-registered investment adviser built for banks
Caird Investments was founded in 2025 and is based in Dallas, Texas. Our team brings decades of experience operating inside regulated financial institutions — managing loan/securities portfolios, underwriting credits, and navigating the regulatory frameworks that govern bank balance sheets.
We built Caird because we saw a gap: banks facing pressure on asset/C&I loan growth, ROA and ROE challenges, over-concentration in commercial real estate, with limited access to liquid and private lending markets that could improve their balance sheet. We sit on the same side of the table as our bank clients, working as a fiduciary and an extension of their team.
